Raw Emotion!

WOW! The raw emotion comes right off the pages - even though this is a work of fiction, this author must have experienced similar events. You can hear it in her descriptions! I didn't want to put it down! There were times I cried, and times I wanted to find some of these characters and smack them! Again, I know it's fiction, but it felt real. It is a sad story, but also a real story of family struggle, pain and enduring love; the differences between the families illustrate two opposite ends of the spectrum. I know which family I would want as my own! Buy this book!

Hell on earth

This book was clearly a spewing of details from a frustrating time in the life of a passionate, fiercely family oriented, compassionate, sister, aunt and daughter. I wanted to come thru the many pages of deceit to help rid Alison's family of advantages being taken and the lies that seemed to come natural from her brother Jerry's in-laws. Anybody can be a relation, it takes someone special to be family.

Enjoyed the story from beginning to end

Enjoyed the story from beginning to end. It felt like I was living with this family, going though what they were all going though. Twists & turns, thinking you know where the story is going and then something different happens. Very enjoyable reading.
