Ok, so this isn't gonna be some fancy, long-worded review. I'm not a professional, I'm just a fan from the start:)

I loved this series from the first word, first chapter fir....I think you get it, and from the first word in Demon Kissed to the last word in The 13th Prophecy, they have been breathtaking, and amazing, and utterly indescribable.

The characters, amazing, well-rounded, and deep. The plots and settings, wonderful, the suspense, keeps you up all night and unfocused at school the next day:)

I love Collin, no I FRICKEN LOVE COLLIN! (author asked me to put that:D), and he deserves the keyboard

This book is not enough details to learn, just like a review book before taking an exam. Look Past the Errors

I'll say a few things about the whole series here, and then a few things specifically about this first book.
First, Cassandra Gannon (and her sister, as well) is creative, and her stories are compelling. It's a blend of humor and melancholy, and some things work especially well. In this series, the characters have pretty much had their world destroyed--I would be surprised if a single one of them didn't have PTSD. I think Ms. Gannon could probably do more to emphasize just how tragic everything is (something she does well in #5), but I also really like the fact that she focuses on them moving on. Slowly but surely they're making new lives for themselves, and they're able to look at life with humor and with passion. I commend Ms. Gannon for that message.
But, fair warning for potential readers, while the stories are wonderful, the writing itself is a challenge to get through. Typos and grammatical errors are abundant (which is the reason that I'm giving this book 3 stars instead of 4 or 5). I urge readers to try and look past them, because the story itself is great, but I understand not being able to. A suggestion to Ms. Gannon would be to do more to edit her work, because having all those mistakes detracts from the potential her stories truly have.
About this novel in particular, I think it would make a good start to the series. I didn't actually read the series in order (4, 5, 2, 6, 3, 1) but I can't see a reason as to why "Warrior from the Shadowland" wouldn't make an excellent start. I like Cross, and I'm ambivalent about Nia, but they do make a good Phase-Match, and they work well together as characters. Most of the characters introduced become special unique snowflakes in later (or upcoming) novels, and I promise that the cliffhanger here leads to an awesome story. I will say that Ms. Gannon likes herself an insecure male lead--I feel like I shouldn't be so fond of people thinking so little of themselves, but it's such a nice change from cocky heroes that I just can't help myself. And really, I think it makes them adorable on top of the sexy that they already possess.
All in all, the writing does detract from the story, and I wouldn't be surprised if it turned people away. But if you can look past it, and I sincerely hope that you do, there's a great story and an even greater series underneath. I myself am eagerly waiting for the next book.

I really enjoyed this book. The storyline is great. I thought the characters were all well developed. I gave it four stars instead of five due to the many typos and missing words. It would have been really frustrating if I hadn't enjoyed the story so much. If the story or characters had been weak I would have just stopped reading it and deleted it but I was hooked. I even bought the second one already. If you're thinking about reading this book you definitely should. It's worth it.

But I am glad I did! It was an entertaining and original story with strong characters. The story does jump around from character to character but instead of being fragmented it all comes together in complementary sub-plots that are intriguing not distracting. Definitely not a brooding (or boring) paranormal romance.

Yes, there were typos and a few mistakes. It was slightly distracting but the story compensated.

Excellent! It covers complete basic guideline and tips for specific condition that required to take care the bonsai. Best to read it twice for someone new to the whole bonsai concept so that every detail covered are followed well. Really worth recommending!

The book is very didactic and conceptually clear. It walks you through the process of growing your own Bonsai in an orderly fashion and provides different options to the growing process. The only missing element in the book is an appendix of the tools used to grow the Bonsai. Otherwise it certainly is a wonderful book.

My husband presented me this book for my birthday. The last summer I was in Japan and visited an exhibition of beautiful bonsai trees.
Now, bonsai is my passion. Hitomi Nakamura managed to explain all nuances, that are very important for the beginners.
